The 4″ x 4″ embroidery field is perfect for most projects and the LCD touchscreen display makes it easy to navigate through all of the different settings. I love the speed control also.
I bought a new machine but there are plenty of second hand ones for sale.
If you are looking for a computerized sewing machine then and a first machine then these are great.
They are not really suited to larger quilts (the throat tends to get a bit jammed)

Another great option is the Janome Horizon Memory Craft 9850. This high-end machine is a bit pricier, but it’s well worth it if you’re looking for top-of-the-line features. It has a large 6.7″ x 7.9″ embroidery field and 200 built-in stitches. I also love the AcuFeed Flex system, which helps to feed multiple layers of fabric evenly through the machine. Great placement for the top bobbin also. Overall, the Janome Horizon Memory Craft 9850 is a great investment for anyone who is serious about embroidery and quilting.
A super foot pedal, great feed dogs, excellent stitch length and reasonable embroidery fonts. (Only 2 but it is 175 embroidery designs.
